A few reflections from the founders, operators, and partners I've had the privilege of building alongside.
I have so much respect for Shannon. She ran global sales and operations at Anova while I was leading the company. She's one of the most capable operators I've ever worked with. We were a scrappy hardware-and-software startup trying to build a brand-new category — the smart kitchen — and Shannon was the person who made the hard, unglamorous parts actually work. She grew our global key accounts and e-commerce across 40+ countries, drove roughly 59% annual growth for three straight years, and kept manufacturing, supply chain, and sales all moving in the same direction. When we got acquired by Electrolux, she was right in the middle of it as a key member of the exec team. None of that happens without someone who can think strategically and still sweat the details.
What I'd really tell you, though, is that Shannon is the rare leader people genuinely want to work for. She's calm when things get messy and direct when it matters. If you get the chance to work with her, take it. You'll be better for it. I'd work with her again in a heartbeat. She was a great partner and became a great friend.
